The gorgeous Lake Bled and the surrounding area in Slovenia is known for its beautiful, relaxing views and stunning countryside. Most people travel there to relax and enjoy the views of the glorious mountains that surround it, but that is not enough for others. On Sunday, Sylwia Tokarska completed the 54.6km, 2459 assent, JAT Sky Trail race in a time of 9 hours and 25 mins finishing 7th in her age category. Sylwia said
“The course was very challenging with 1300m climb on the first 10k and very technical Alpine trails with the most stunning views over the Julian Alps and Triglav National Park. The UTMB tag line is “meet your extraordinary” and I can confirm – it’s not a lie!”

Henry Axon was the first runner back in a time of 17:26, followed by Simon Ramsay in a time of 18:15. Manda Gurung was the first woman back in a time of 20:06, with Kirsty Wilson the second woman back in a time of 21:44 and Vicky Scott third in 22:13.
