On Tuesday 23rd July, Layla D’Monte competed in The Standard Chartered Great City Race 2024 around the city of London as part of the corporate team of King and Spalding and finished the 5k course in a time of 23.41.
On Saturday 27th July, Dave Bowerman ran the Runbelievable Summer Party. He completed the marathon distance in 4:56:09 at Betteshangar park on the course, which was all gravel paths, hot weather and lots of elevation which made for a challenging run!
This Friday night, nine FRAC runners travelled to Rye Harbour to compete in the second 10k race of the Rye Summer Series. Stephen Male was the first of the FRAC runners back in a time of 37:28, followed by James Barney 40:02, Dan Mccarthy 44:24, Martin Salmon 47:26, Karla Larnder 48:17, Carrie Thomas, who got a PB. Her old time was 50.04 and she was desperate to get a sub-50, but it was windy, however, despite her watch failing at mile four and her completing losing faith and thinking she had lost it, she came in at 48.29, Jane Wren 54:57, Anthony Scott 55:07, Alan Randall 57:33.

The Centurion North Downs Way 100 is a 103 mile continuous point to point trail race along the North Downs Way from Farnham in the Surrey Hills to Ashford in Kent. The race began at 0700 on Saturday 3rd August 2024. Runners had to reach the finish line in Ashford within 30 hours in order to be recognised as an official finisher. There were further cut offs at every aid station on route.  Jodie Jackman completed the gruelling race in a time of 28:31:25.
