As the summer starts to peek its way through what has been an excessively wet and gloomy beginning of the year, the spring marathons are coming to an end.
Following on from her run in the London Marathon two weeks ago, Karla Lardner competed in the Belfast marathon on Sunday and completed the course in a fantastic time of 3:54:36. On bank holiday Monday, Gary Brazier ran the Milton Keynes marathon in a time of 4:22:51, knocking a massive 9 minutes off of his previous best marathon time.
Closer to home and fortunately dodging the heavy, bank holiday rain, James Springett ran the Furley Page Whitstable 10km in a time of 41:21.
