The London Marathon -The Big one !!!!

Sunday saw the iconic London Marathon take place with the highest number of runners ever. There were some amazing performances from FRAC athletes. First across the finish line was Daniel Radcliffe in 232nd place in a time 2:32:45. Karl Gloster and Tom Bean also achieved sub 2:45 times coming home in 2:36:51 and 2:42:56 respectively. Torben Jessen achieved an amazing pb time of 2:59:12 placing 12th in the 60-64 men’s category while Krzystof Klidzia finished in 2:59:29 in 54th place in the men’s 55-59 age category. First home for the ladies was Nikki Goodwin in a pb time of 3:27:14 with Catherine O’Connor also achieving a Pb time of 3:33:25 and 148th in the 50-54 ladies category. Catherine had this to say about her run “My time was 3.33.25. An 8 minute PB , last achieved in 2016. I was at the beginning of my age cat then and now I’m at the end! Who’s says you slow with age! This was my 11th Marathon and 7th at London. I have been chasing this PB since 2022, finally did it and in style! I was aiming for 3.38-39 . So very chuffed!!!”

There were also amazing performances from first time marathon runners. Louisa Eede running for Kids Charity finished in a sub 4 hour time of 3:51:29 and Lisa Smith also managed a sub 5 hour squeezing in in 4:59:34. Autumn Richardson achieved 5:57:45 James Johnson a first timer came home in 3:45:5 and James Herridge 4:24:42. Congratulations to all and now timer to put your feet up !!
