Don Thompson Mile

Club event instead of a usual Tuesday training session in honour of the legendary Don Thompson where a mile seems like the longest sprint in the world but a fantastic turn out from club members and a number of personal bests achieved.

Bradlesmere 10K

Karla Larnder took part in this trail race which was tricky with the heat and very hilly however she gained two trophies, the first one for age category and the second for third lady overall with a gun time of 51:07.

Jungfrau Marathon

Vicky Scott took on the most beautiful marathon in the world in the Swiss Alps.  The course climbs over 1953m and Vicky ran it in an amazing time of 6 hours 20 minutes

Vale of York Half Marathon

Lovely course through the Yorkshire countryside and Greg Dixon completed it in 1.43.23 which is an outstanding time for a half marathon

Great North Run

A number of members from the club represented the club in very tough hot conditions with results as follows: Gary Brazier 2:15 Marie Brazier 2:09 Anthony Scott 2:14 Jase O’Callaghan 1:48, ice creams on offer to the runners to keep them going

Wingham 10K

Rebecca Powney ran in the intense heat with an impressive time of 48:52 and Dave Bowerman in a time of 55:23.

Rye Ancient Trails

Lots of club runners taking part in the 15K and 30K trail runs around the beautiful countryside of Rye.  In sweltering 30 degree heat a group of intrepid Folkestone club runners managed to complete the undulating course.  Jason Crockford completed the 15km race in 02:13:56. First home for the 30km was Linnaea Stockall 3:23:25, followed by Sylwia Tokaska in 3:41:00, Phil Maull in 3:56:45, and Kate Clipstone in 5:08:06.
