Sunday saw two of the most popular local 10k races take place. The Deal Dinosaur saw Thomas Murray come in 5th place in a personal best time of 38:38, a fantastic result on a hilly and windy course. James Springett was 16th in 43:12 with Karla Lardner in 45:42 4th female and 2nd in her age category.
In New Romney a large contingent raced the pancake flat course but with the a hefty south westerly wind to contend with. First home was Dave Tyler in 8th place whilst first female home was Catherine O’Connor in 69th place, 4th female and 1st female Vet 50. Diane Parsons was 1st Vet female 45 Jane Wren was 1st Vet female 55 for the Southern Counties Veterans Athletics Club Championships. For the men Krzysztof Klidzia finished 1st Male Vet 55 and 19th overall. There were also Pb performances from Dominic Shepherd, Tom Aspinall and Sonia Markwell. Well done to all who ran.
