This Sunday 19th February 2023 the Deal Half Marathon took place. Hosted by Deal Tri Club this 13.1 mile challenging, undulating course takes place around the quiet rural roads through the villages of Betteshanger, Northbourne, Ripple, Sutton, East Langdon and Martin Mill.
FRC had a great turn out and the men took the 1st Mens team prize – Henry Axon 01:17:26, Daniel Voller 01:24:34, Nick Bryant 01:29:52 (23 second PB) and Jacob Henwood 01:33:17
Henry Axon was also 2nd man overall in a personal best time (by 2 minutes 30 seconds)
Ian Merrick was 13th overall in a time of 1:28:06 A course PB of over 5 minutes!! Nikki Goodwin was first home for the FRC ladies in 01:35:14 followed by Linnaea Stockall 01:37:03, Stuart West 01:38:09, Martin Murray 01:38:21 (shaving 23 seconds off his PB!), Vicky Scott 01:42:02 (Course PB), Phil Maull 01:46:32 (A course PB by 17 seconds), Helen Webb 01:49:15, Christian Gilbert 01:54:13, Diane Parsons 01:54:28, Andrew Smith 01:55:03, Sylwia Tokarska 01:56:30, Anthony Scott 02:02:46 , Neil Adams 02:03:47 (A new PB), Rachel Smith 02:04:16 (A new PB), Gary Brazier 02:05:21, Amy Owen 2:18:51, Jason Crockford 02:27:17, Dominic Shepherd 02:28:08
