JOE BRUCE SMASHES FRC WINTER HANDICAP COURSE RECORD!!

The first FRC Winter Handicap of 2023 (Race 4 of the series) saw Joe Bruce storm home in 23 minutes 24 seconds to smash a Club record that had stood for thirty-two years by a fantastic 44 seconds!!!  The previous record of 24 minutes 8 seconds for the 4.4 miles course was set in the inaugural race on 22 January 1991 by seventeen-year old Andy Gillet, with only Joe (24:16, December 2022) and local running legend, John Creane (24:16, December 2007) getting anywhere near that time.
