Emily’s podium finish

In a fairly quiet few days which most people spent avoiding the heat, the entirety of this week’s racing action fell on the shoulders of Emily Chambers who rose to the occasion admirably. On saturday night she took part in the Midnight Man (though it actually started at 6) half ironman where she earned herself a place on the podium. Taking place in Dartford, there was a 1900m swim, 90km bike leg followed by a 21km run. Emily finished 3rd lady and 15th overall in a total time of 5:07:42. 

It was a busy morning on the Leas for Folkestone parkrun’s 8th birthday. Well done to Krzysztof Klidzia and Dom Shepherd who both ran new PBs. Full results below:
