Parkrun Tourists Fly the Flag for Folkestone

Due to the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations there was no Folkestone Parkrun this weekend, which meant that Folkestone Running Club members had to travel in order to get their Parkruns in, and boy did they travel.  From as local as the Ashford and Walmer and Deal Parkruns to as far away as Land’s End, and aptly, The Queen Elizabeth Parkruns, FRC runners turned out in force and had some fantastic results.  As parkrun is a run, and not a race, it is not about where you finish, but the taking part that is important, however it is always nice to finish in the top three.  This weekend FRC runners managed a very healthy, two 1st place, three 2nd place and two 3rd place positions.
