A relatively quiet week of racing in comparison to the typical British Summer weather! Friday night saw race 2 of the Rye series, held along a windy harbour course with Paul Bartlett and Coach Catherine O’Connor representing the Club. Paul finished in 6th place overall and 3rd in his age category: Vet 45 in a time of 40:34 while Catherine finished in 49:00, 5th female and 2nd in her age category: Vet 50.
At the Parkrun this week there was a PB for Rob Collier in a time of 18:47, coming home in 5th place overall and a fabulous second senior parkrun PB for Oscar Collier in the Under 10 age group in 28:25. At Ashford there was also a storming effort from Jake Chapman in the 15-17 age group, coming home in a PB time of 19.59. Folkestone runners were also in action in Malling, The New Forest and Cambridge.
