A fairly quiet weekend after the excitement of the last couple of weeks.
The Woodchurch 10 mile race takes place on an undulating course on the surrounding lanes of the village near Ashford. On Sunday morning, Nick Steele took on the countryside route in his first race for almost a year and took almost 2 minutes off his PB to finish in 6th place in 1:00:23, annoyingly close to the 1 hour mark.

Neil Trett took a trip down the south coast to Dorset to take part in the Maverick Adidas Terrex X-ULTRA Jurassic Coast race. There were 4 distances on offer. The ultra (53k), long (44k), middle (20k), and short (11k). Neil was racing the middle distance, a 20k trail race over mixed terrain with 300m of elevation. The route took in long ascents over sandy rutted trails, technical rocky descents and climbs, feet soaking streams, soft forest trails with twists and roots, hill peaks with stunning 360 views. Everything you could ask for in a trail run. It was a really well organised event with runners setting off individually 30secs apart.
Neil placed 32nd overall out of 137 participants in his distance and 8th in his age category.
