After all the excitement of huge club successes in the Lake Dorney and London Virtual marathons last weekend, things were a little quieter on the racing front.
There was however the Saxon Shore half marathon this Sunday. In it’s third year, the runners meandered along the beautiful seafronts of Herne Bay and Whitstable. The gorgeous mid-October weather was perfect for bagging a personal best, and three of our club members did indeed do this!
Fastest overall, was Jason O’Callaghan with an excellent time of 01:41:42. Next to arrive over the finish line was newcomer to the club, Ron Bell with a great time of 01:51:04. The ladies club representative Collette Windsor finished with a great time of 01:52:29.
