This week has seen the start of the marathon season and the annual London Landmarks Half Marathon. Rob Collier, Marie Brazier and Joseph Carroll were representing FRAC. The course had to be revised at the last minute due to an emergency incident in Chancery Lane. Rob completed the 12.77 miles in time 1:19.28 coming 1st in his age category of 627 runners. Fantastic effort! Joseph in 1:36:23. Marie completed the course in 2:00:39 but she does have 2 marathons in few weeks fast approaching from next weekend. At the Kent Coastal Half Marathon Liz Solaru completed the course in 2:07:30. Fantastic efforts by all.
Down on the south coast there were several entrants from the club competing in the Brighton Marathon. First to finish was Ranjit Tamang in 3:30:34. Second home finishing his second marathon with a pb time was Tom Aspinall in 3:37:07. Greg Dixon running his 8th Brighton finished in 3:51:52. Para Gurung completed the course in 3:59:17. Phil Haines finished in 3:53:54 . Jason King 4:40:06 Rosie Missen 4:40:28. Rachel Smith 5:40:15. Further along the coast at the ABP Southampton Marathon, Miles Gawthorp completed the course on 4:25:52. Well done everyone !!!!
In sunny Italy, Paul Bartlett and Pam Allon were flying the flag for the club at the Milan Marathon . Paul ran a PB time by one and half minutes in 2:57:27 whilst Pam came home in her second fastest time in 4:03:41. Simply brilliant !!
