It’s a short and sweet report this week as our runners spent the run up to Christmas preparing for the big day with more mileage put into their Xmas shopping than races.
It was however a great weekend to parkrun, as a gaggle of our members went far (and fast!) for their Saturday morning efforts.
Jersey parkrun
Meeting up at 3.20am, Vicky, Collette, Ron, Nikki, Louisa, Philip, Jenny, Caroline and Brent took an early 7am flight in time for trip down to Jersey.
A swift walk to the start was required as the crew met up with the parkrun director just in time for the morning announcements.
Our parkrun tourists were treated to a great course with a couple of sharp inclines and some gravel through the woods.
They all finished with some great results with Nikki Goodwin finishing as 1st Lady and also 1st in her age category.
The team treated their early morning antics with some well-deserved luncheon before catching the flight back home in time for a night out on the town!
No rest for the wicked they say!
