How many club runners does it take to invade a castle? I dunno, but a bunch can run there! Let’s find out how many and how they did.
Deal Castle 5 Mile – 29 September
Deal played host to 222 runners this past Sunday, with FR&AC making up around 12% of competitors. Several marquee performances represented the club on the podium. Joe Bruce roared into third overall, second Male U21, and third male in 26:47. David Tyler was close behind for fourth and second Senior Male in 26:50. Rob Collier took third Supervet Male in 30:01. Torben Jessen smashed through it in 31:46 to take first M60. Kirsty Wilson was absolutely rapid in 33:59 to take first Vet Female and second Female. Becca Powney racked up second Vet Female in 34:51. Coach Catherine O’Conner blazed into a new PB of 35:19 to earn second in F55.
The club added glitter to glory with at least six PBs. All that effort will surely go toward raising scores in the club Grand Prix standings. Fantastic running by each of the 33 of you who showed Deal what you’ve got!
