We finally got treated to some decent weather last week as the first few days of June saw some sunnier moments and cooler running conditions.
Of course, our Folkestone Running & Athletic Club (FR&AC) members took advantage of the great outdoors and put down some tremendous efforts.
Here’s what we got for you this week:
Race For Life – 9 June
The annual Cancer Research UK Folkestone 3k, 5k and 10k races took place on Sunday and saw hundreds of runners put on some pink for an amazing cause.
Two of our spectacular members (Jenny “Twiggy” Heathfield and Sarah Nunn) took part and put in some great times of 00.55.10 and 00.56.56 respectively – with Sarah even having recently returned from injury!
A massive well done to you both for not only helping to raise money for a cause close to many of our heart’s but also pushing it up the Zig Zag path at the end – that’s a tough one!
Things are getting hot in the parkrun cup!
The FR&AC favourite matchup cup is well into the swing of things with the second round of the A Cup and many of the B Cup’s first rounders kicking off.
The competition is heating up with some early rivals eager to keep things interesting.
