Saturday was the last fixture in the Cross Country League. A small team of hardy runner went to Bromley to race. In the men’s event Krzysztof Klidzia (M55) was first to finish in 50th place in 31:04 Nick Steele (SM) 33:06 in 87th Phil Hoyland (M40) 33:30 in 96th Trevor DeVooght (SM) in 33:58 in 105th place. Jacob Henwood(SM) 35:22 129th place. Alan Randall (M60) 45:50 in 204th place. In the team event first 4 to score finished in 9th and 11th over the 4 events while in the 12 to score the team finished in 8th overall.
In the Women’s event Caroline Curtis(W55) was first home for FRAC in 69th place in 41:43. Zoe Neale (W45) 79th in 42:48 Trudi Curd (W55) in 49:46 and Lisa Smith (W40) in 50:16. In the team event FRAC finished 16th in the 3 to count and 11th over the 4 events. In the 6 to count they were 10th over the 4 races. Congratulations to everyone who took part.
Sunday saw two club members take part in the Headcorn Half Marathon. Karla Lardner was first home in 1:45:54 13th female and 6th in her age category. Not far behind was John O ‘Hara who came home in 1:54:46 123rd place overall but 2nd in his age category . Well done to both!!
