The Brighton Marathon, the first of the big autumn marathons took place this weekend. Up in Newcastle it was the Great North Run, the world’s biggest half marathon. Jase O’Callaghan took on the iconic event and finished in 1:47:14.

Closer to home were the Rye trails races, a choice of either a challenging 15k or even more challenging 30k on the hilly paths and lanes of the East Sussex countryside. In the 30k race, Dave Gillett was first back for the club, finishing in a superb 5th position in a time of 2:20:46.
