Lockdown League Week 3

It was another strong week for FRC in Ashford and District’s Lockdown League with a number of members posting times for the 6 mile time trial.


The ladies team took third place this week, consisting of Karen Puttock, Nikki Goodwin and Collette Windsor. This leaves them in third place in the league.

In the individual competition, in the overall league, there were two FRC runners in the points, Karen Puttock in 15th and Nikki Goodwin in 19th.

In the under 35 league, Kirsty Wilson was the sole representative finishing tantalisingly close to the points in 11th.

In the 35-44 category, Nikki was 4th and Collette was 10th meaning they picked up some points. Diane Parsons, Jody Stoakes and Jenny Quinn finished close together in 13th, 14th and 16th respectively.

In the 45-54 league, Karen Puttock was 5th while Maria Felicetti was 26th. Karen is currently 10th in the league despite only having taken part in once!


It was a clear victory for the men’s team of Steve Male, Dave Tyler and Derek Matcham this week. This also means that they are now 5 points clear at the top of the league.

In the individual competition, some great efforts saw Steve Male and Dave Tyler take 2nd and 3rd places with Del Matcham not far behind in 6th. Also picking up points were Darren Crew (20th), Daren Wild (22nd), Tim Warren (23rd) and Dan Voller (24th).

In the individual leagues, Dave Tyler topped the under 40’s and now leads the league by 5 points. Dan Voller also had a strong run in 4th.

In the 40-49 category, Derek Matcham took 1st place honours by almost 90 seconds ahead of Tim Warren in 6th and Neil Trett in 17th. In the league standings there are currently 3 FRC runners in the top 5 (Dave Gillett, Ian McGilloway and Derek Matcham).

In the 50-59 age group, Steve Male was 2nd while Darren Crew and Daren Wild also picked up points in 7th and 8th places while Tony Scott finished in 25th.

Mixed Team

The mixed team this week was Steve Male, Dave Tyler, Karen Puttock and Nikki Goodwin who finished 3rd. This leaves the team 2nd in the league.
