Lockdown League – Week 1

Ashford and District RRC started a series of virtual races last week and opened it up to all. Every week runners are set a target distance to race by themselves while observing current guidelines on social distancing. Runners submit their times and at the end of the week A&D publish a list of results. There are points for individual place in your age category and team points. Race times in the overall category are given as age grade adjusted times. Your age grade is your race time as a percentage of the world record for someone of your age. It is then used to calculate a time that is that percentage of the actual world record – this is your age graded time.

Result Categories

  • Overall Male / Female individual results (based on age graded times).
  • Overall team results. Cumulative times of the fastest three runners in each team (age graded times).
  • Mixed team results. Fastest 2 male & fastest 2 female runners (age graded times).
  • Age category results (actual times).

All scores will count toward league tables as the weeks go by.

In the opening week the target distance was 5 miles and it saw a strong start for the club.
