Although the 2019 grand-prix runs until 30 November (you can still score points), it’s time to prepare for 2020.
The 2020 season begins on 26 December with the traditional Saltwood Boxing Day run, and concludes on 30 November 2020.
There are some changes to grand-prix rules this year, including the addition of cross-country.
This post details the full 2020 grand-prix calendar, as well as how to enter.
Calendar
The 2020 calendar is the same as the 2019 calendar, with the following exceptions:
- New Romney 10k has been removed
- Mount Ephram 10k, held during August, has been added
- a season long ‘best individual 10k time’ event has been added.
Events
There are 10 scheduled races events though out the year and 4 ‘best-time’ events:
- Folkestone parkrun
- any 10k
- any half-marathon
- any marathon.
Your score is the total of your best 6 events…you don’t need to run all of them, or even most of them.
There are bonus points available for volunteering at the Folkestone 10 Mile and Hythe Round The Houses, and for representing the club during the 2019/20 cross country season.
