This weekend, Jennifer Quinn Heathfield and Phil Heathfield traveled to Gratton Park, Surrey, with their dogs Marley and Banjo, to take part in the annual Reigate 5k and 10k canicross race. Phil and Marley were first up for the 10k. They completed the 2 lap course around the picturesque venue in 9th place overall and 1st in Phil’s age category, in a time of 48:46. Next up was Jenny and Banjo in the 5k, which they finished in 29:00, coming 3rd in Jenny’s age category.
On Sunday, Hilary Collins ran the Alicante Half Marathon in a new PB time of 2 hours exactly. Although it was cold and overcast here, in Alicante it was a beautiful day and a great race, although a bit hilly.
Closer to home, Simon Ramsey was wearing his Folkestone Running and Athletic Club colours at the British Masters Indoor Athletics Championships, competing in the v45 1500m. This was Simon’s first time running on an indoor track and his first time racing a 1500m, which he finished in 8th place in a time of 4:24.

Nick Steele was the 3rd finisher in Ashford in a time of 18:03, with Deborah Jeffery the 3rd Female in a time of 20:24.
