The Biggest and Best

Boston Marathon

On Sunday, two Folkestone Running and Athletics Club members took part in the oldest and one of, if not the, most famous marathons in the world, the Boston Marathon.  Both runners had a fantastic run and completed the course in amazing times.  Tom Bean came in in 2:43:02 with Henry Axon completed the course in a time of 2:56:44.

Folkestone 10

On Good Friday, Folkestone Running and Athletic Club organized it’s annual Folkestone 10 Mile Race.  This race would not be possible without the hard work and support of all of the members of the club who organise and turn out to marshal the race and who cheered on the 724 runners that completed the course, however 4 lucky club members won a place in the race in the club lottery.  Jon Eaton was the first back for the club in a time of 1:01:58, followed by Paul Bartlet in a PB time of 1:02:21, Darren Philip 1:14:47 and Trudi Curd in a time of 1:34:36.
