On Saturday, Anthony Scott travelled to the Lake District and ran the Langdale Half Marathon. Although the rest of the country was racked by horrendous weather, it was perfect running conditions for this extremely hilly race, and he completed the testing course in a time of 2:08:38.

Further south, many Folkestone Running and Athletics runners travelled to run the various racers over Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters this weekend. Run over the two days, what a massive contrast a day makes. Rain, hail and 40mph gusts battering the ultra runners and marathon folks on Saturday, and then the next day there was sunshine and blue skies for the half marathon runners. Just amazing!
FRAC had twelve runners involved this weekend.
In the Ultra marathon Sylwia Tokaska came home first for the club in 6:19:30. Second was Ron Bell in 6:27:35, Phil Maull was third in 6:33:56 and Rebekah Newton came forth in 7:53:03.

In the marathon Neil Sutcliffe Adams was the first FRAC runner back in 5:44:29. Catherine Clipstone was second in 6:55:15 and Jane Wren was third in 6:55:31.

Finally, in the half marathon on Sunday, Linnaea Stockall came home 3rd in her age category in 2:01:13. Second home for the club was Rachel Smith in 2:24:27, third was Jennifer Quin in 3:06:57 and Philip Heathfield came in forth in 3:07:07
