PBs galore!

Race Report week ending 30/6/21

This week has been an action packed few days. Starting the weekend off with a bang, Tom Millard ventured up to London to run in the Battersey Friday Nights, Under the Lights 5k. He obtained a PB of 00:15:30. He was very modest in his review of the experience,

“Nothing much really, it was very straight forward as in a small desk for the number, no spectators, little stand for water and that’s about it! Quite like that. My result was 15:30 on a humid Friday night, but ideal for fast racing. The course was two laps of Battersea Park. I gained a 17 second road on and third place in my graded wave”. The Friday night series takes place once a month for elite road runners.

Back on home soil, the famous Folkestone 10k took place starting from down by the Coastal Park heading towards the Imperial Hotel and back. There was some amazing running taking place with many gaining personal bests.

Dan Voller came in first for the club and a PB of 00:34:08. New comer Daniel Radcliffe also clinched a new PB of 00:35:51. Super Vet, Steve Male came in first age category position with a time of 00:36:59. Patrick Hughes (PB) 00:38:31, Gavin Wood 00:41:06, Greg Dixon 00:45:03.
