From Thursday May 9, we are introducing an official alternative club run as part of our training sessions on a Thursday evening.
Meeting at Three Hills Sports Park at 6.30pm every Thursday, there will now be an option of a social run.
The run will be around 5 miles long and will be led each week by at least two of our FRC qualified coaches.
Routes will be explained in advance of each run, but the ethos of the group will be to ensure that nobody is left to run alone, and that members run in groups together.
This is open to all club members, and all that we ask is that you can comfortably run five miles in one go.
A number of current members have committed their help with this group run and will have taken the relevant training before this venture commences. This doesn’t mean others can’t offer their help and support moving forwards, so please make yourself known if you would like to lead runs and take the training.
The runs will welcome all abilities and might be of interest to those that are:
- coming back from injury,
- racing at the weekend
- want an enjoyable run within a friendly group.
Please note that speed sessions we still be available on both Tuesday and Thursday evenings. This social run will be an addition to what already exists. There is no need to book in advance, just simply turn up on a Thursday from May 9 to take part.
We are hoping this will prove to be a popular option amongst our members, so if this does appeal please do show up and join us.
Lastly, if you can think of a catchy name for this run, please email our coaching team with your suggestions.
